The Million Band Note is based on a novel by Mark Twain. The film retains a great deal of details from the novel. Mark Twain's characteristic dry humor and satire make the film fun on a realistic basis. The elaborate scenery, the wonderful story, the excellent performances of the actors and the cultured tone that is so typical of the British in the last century make it easy to get into the story. The film also became a classic.
